Conservation Biology
This course introduced me to Conservation as a discipline within Environmental Studies. I learned about major conservation and ecological issues, as well as cultural and economic issues that are associated with conservation.
Population Ecology
This course introduced me to common research methods for ecological research at a population level. Experience using the statistics programs 'R' and 'Mark'.
Land Use & Landscape Change
This course introduced me to global issues concerning water. I gained experience with water quality testing. I can see a future in water management of some sorts in the future because of this course.
This course allowed me to delve into a research project of my own with a special focus on Remote Sensing. I learned a valuable skill in using IDRISI to manipulate satellite imagery to tell the story of landscape change near Mexico City.
Senior Research
Although it is not coursework, woodworking is a passion of mine. This piece was completed for my senior capstone project.
